Romance in The Beach Cottages at Turtle Bay Resort Included in the extensive upgrades was the recent renovation of The Beach Cottages at Turtle Bay Resort, 42 beachfront cottages, elegantly appointed private oases with lanais facing the ocean. The Cottages comprise 42 suites - all with prime oceanfront views - that reflect the creative hand of renowned Los Angeles designer Michael Smith. Grouped in clusters of six, each cottage underwent $150,000 in renovation work to bring them to the highest standard of a luxury experience. The Cottages are handsomely dressed in imperial yellow with copper flashing and rain caches on the outside.
Upon entry, the polished Brazilian walnut floors lead to a large, multi-level beach retreat with 15-foot ceilings and king poster beds. A mini bar, teak chairs and lanai with large glass doors overlook the Pacific sands. For rinsing and cleansing from a day in the ocean, the cottages are equipped with large marble bathrooms with Kallista deep-soak tubs, freestanding glass showers, and private enclosed toilets.
Some cottages are also available as adjoining rooms with both king and double beds for families. Dining Romance can be shared during intimate candlelight dining in 21 Degrees North, where the chef prepares contemporary island cuisine. Outdoor dining may be easily arranged, overlooking the resort pools, magnificent Turtle Bay itself and the setting sun.
